How to Use This App

The Liberty Trail App is designed to be a flexible and easy-to-use way to learn more about the geography and history of these remarkable locations.


From the Home screen – or anytime from the navigation menu at the bottom of the screen – click Explore to see the full list of Liberty Trail stops. Click any stop of learn more about it. Stops along the Liberty Trail vary in length.

If you prefer a map view, click the map icon in the upper right of the Explore screen. The GPS-enabled map allows your to pan-pinch, or zoom to view clickable tour points along the Liberty Trail.


Users of the iOS and Android apps can download longer tour stops in advance to ensure you can access the tour should connectivity on the battlefield be unavailable. We recommending reviewing your tours plans and downloading tour content in advance when possible.


We recommend enabling notifications from The Liberty Trail App in your device's Settings. The GPS-enabled app will alert you and present information about nearby stops.


We recommend enabled location events in the Settings menu. This app uses location data to sort and show relevant information near you even when the app is closed or not in use. You can control the extent to which this app has access to your location in your device's Settings. We do not store or transmit this data.
